It became a warm day even though we entered in November.
Today’s TMOM was a veteran, TM KM. On the last holiday, he took a walk around the lake Tanzawa. He enjoyed the suspension bridge and taking pictures.
Word of the Day was “Natural” by TM YN. His message was “You don’t have to be too positive. You can just relax and being your regular self will lead to the best condition.”
The first prepared speech was persuasive speaking, “From my experience, conquering the Cold Call”. It was a speech for advanced speakers, reaching 15 minutes. In the first half, he explained about the information system industry where he works and the background of acquisition of order entry. In the second half, he performed a role play that he sells a large-scale security system to a major airplane company as a sales representative.
The Table Topic was about trip by TM NS. Firstly, she talked about her episodes about her trips to Hokkaido and Spain enjoyably and vividly. Then, she asked the following questions.
- Could you tell us your favorite place you found during your trip?
TM NH: Ishikawa, beautiful rice field (Senmaida)
- Do you have your recommendation as a souvenir?
TM M: White Lover
- What is your qualification for trip? Where would like to go and why?
TM AM: South Korea, to have Korean BBQ with his family
- Did you have an experience something like you’re appreciative but, actually, it was embarrassing?
TM YS: A lot of row Ginko
Coincidently, TM NS and the respondents talked about food such as salmon and White Lover in Hokkaido, soft cream in Ishikawa prefecture, sea food in Spain, grilled beef in Korea, Ginko and so on and we enjoyed delicious episodes.
The speech evaluation was performed by DTM, TM KO. It was a specialized and an informative speech but the overall structure was divided, which was easy to understand. TM AM explained business terminology such as Blue Ocean and Red Ocean clearly by using a chart. After TM KO admired him, he advised about the last role play. If he communicates by including each other’s introduction and ice break, it might be a natural dialogue.
The general evaluator was TM SY. He looked backed on today’s English session and wrapped it up.
