The second half session of English program was started with clapping on the announcement by TMOM K-gure.
Word of the day “Appreciate” was introduced by TM N-pal with explaining uses of the word to convey the feelings of gratitude or thankfulness to others.
As the role of each assignment was introduced in Japanese session, each of the assignee showed their smiling face and they were welcomed by participants with chipping hands!
Next was the session of prepared speech.
The first prepared speech was conducted by TM Y-zawa with the title of “Shall we drink Sake?” CC manual #3, Get to the point.
He started his speech with gestures of drinking sake. After a while, he asked to the audiences that were they drinking? And explained the meaning of asking, it is “Toast” means Cheers! Kanpai! He likes drinking sake and prefers sake with explaining his own experience of Sake as well as purposed to support brewery of north-east areas having sake at drinking session after the contest of toastmaster too!
The second prepared speech was conducted by TM M-gawa with the title of “Y-1?! Grand Prix”, CC manual # 7, Research Your Topic.
The speech was started with the meaning of Y-1: “Yuruchara” and defined about it in details. As per his speech, Yuruchara Grand Prix was established at 2010 and was entered 168 Yuruchara at the time. And at 2013, it was entered the 168 Yuruchara. This year, Yuruchara Grand Prix is going to hold on Nov 1st to 3rd at International Airport and entered 1600 of Yuruchara by internet till now.
I was surprised with the number up of Yurucharas in this shot period of time.
Next program was announced “Table Topics (TT)” before evaluation section and handled by TM I-da with her nice voice of English with huge experience of life. She shared her experience as well as thoughts about the topics before each of TT speakers was assigned instantly like its time of autumn, the day is getting shorter, cooler day by day and easy to live.
The first TT speaker was TM H-ris with a topic of “autumn is the season for xxx”, and he shared his different experiences about autumn, like it as a bad season in his country that schools are started after a long holiday in autumn and going to rain soon.
The next TT speaker was chosen to TM M-ta with a topic of “your best product or your best food in the autumn”. She shared her best food is “sweet potato” without reason for it (lovely!), she define autumn as a season for “reading and eating” and easy to get-up the weight too!
Next TT speaker was chosen to be TM Y-e with a topic of “Introduce the reading book or recommend a book to read in the season of autumn”. He recommended and shared his reading book in the autumn about a comic from old famous Japanese writer and a book from new writer too.
Final TT speaker was chosen to a guest on the day, S-ki san with a topic of “Where are you planning to travel or like to travel in this autumn”. She shared her travel place which is Nagano. She and her friend are doing research about garbage there and travel every year in Nagano in autumn season.
It was time for evaluation session handled by TM M-moto.
TM T-kada evaluated for the speech of Y-zawa as per manual points and objectives of the speech.
TM O-ma evaluated for the speech of TM M-gawa. He evaluated with embroiling audience in his evaluation that why they think the speech of TM M-gawa was nice. After that, he started to evaluate with giving his reason about it and suggestions about the speech too.
I felt it was one of the nice evaluations I heard till the date.
The general evaluation was proceed by TM M-moto after the announcement of grammarian, ah counter by TM H-no and after the used word of the day reported.
The most excited part of the whole session was proceeded by TMOM with announcing the best TT speaker to TM H-ris, the best evaluator to TM O-ma and the best speaker from Japanese session to TM K-guchi.
